  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities with at least 50% marks.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates with an RCI-recognized D.Ed. in Special Education (or equivalent) through regular mode follow a 4-semester course path.
  • Candidates without an RCI-recognized D.Ed. in Special Education follow a 5-semester course path.

Programme Duration and Contact Hours

The minimum time required to complete the B.Ed. Special Education distance programme depends on prior professional qualifications in special education.

  • With Regular RCI Diploma: 04 semesters (2 years).
  • Without Regular RCI Diploma: 05 semesters (2.5 years).
  • Personal Contact Programmes (PCP): Minimum 60 hours of face-to-face PCP sessions per semester (10 days, 6 hours per day).
  • Practicum: Regulated strictly under Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) norms.
