As per UGC-DEB directives, obtaining and verifying a DEB ID is compulsory for all candidates seeking admission to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes at NSOU.

  • Failure to submit and verify the DEB ID by the deadline will result in application rejection.
  • The decision of the university regarding application rejection is final.
  1. Visit the UGC-DEB portal to create your DEB ID.
  2. Complete online fee payment for your selected FYUG or PG programme.
  3. Log into the respective admission portal and submit your DEB ID.

Ph.D. Admission Schedule (January 2025 Session)

For the Ph.D. Academic Year 2024–2025 (January 2025 Session), online applications were submitted via the NSOU PhD admission portal. Selection and course work fee notifications were released in phased stages through 2026.
